Privacy policy

Maskwise is a Mac app that hides personal data in documents. It is designed to work offline.

The app

1. We don't collect data. Maskwise does not send your documents, text or settings to any server. It has no permission to access the internet and uses no user accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking.
2. What is stored on your Mac: your settings; the list of recently opened documents (you can clear it in Settings); and, if you use AI tags, a table linking each tag to its real value, encrypted (AES-256-GCM) with a key kept in your Mac's Keychain. You can delete that key in Settings › Privacy.
3. Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details.
4. Crash reports: if you have agreed on your Mac to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports. You can turn this off in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

This website

This website uses no cookies or forms and collects no personal data. To know how many visits it gets we use, at most, aggregated cookie-free statistics that identify no one.

If you write to us

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete them once they are no longer needed. You can ask to access, correct or delete them at any time by writing to the same address. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
