Have a question or something not working as expected? Email us at maskwise.app@gmail.com. We reply within one or two working days. Please don't send us documents with real data: describe the problem or use a made-up document.

Requirements

A Mac with macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, Apple silicon or Intel.

Getting started

1. Open Maskwise and drop a document onto the window (or use File › Open).
2. Review what it marked in the sidebar. Right-click a mark to unmark it, or draw boxes by hand on the page.
3. Choose Redacted PDF or For AI and save. Maskwise checks the copy and tells you the result.

Purchases

• Free trial: 7 days with every feature.
• Maskwise Professional: a single purchase, for good. On a new Mac, use “Restore purchases” in Settings › Licence with the same Apple Account.
• Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Common issues

My Mac asks for permission to use the Keychain

Maskwise keeps the key that encrypts AI tags in the Keychain. Choose “Always Allow”.

The copy shows a NOT VERIFIED notice

Maskwise could not check all the content, for example because the document contains an embedded object or an image it cannot read. Review that part by hand before sharing the copy.

It missed a piece of data

Select it on the page or type it in “Also hide a word or phrase”. If you tell us what kind of data it was (without sending the real document), we'll try to detect it in the next release.
